PayPal How To Create Account: When you have started online working/Business, you need a medium to send or receive money. People usually use their credit or debit cards to make payments online, but when to receive money, you need an international transaction service like PayPal.

You only need to do a few things while setting up a PayPal account, including a credit or debit card for making payments, your credit card/bank statement for verification purposes, etc.
Different Types of PayPal Accounts
Before getting into the topic PayPal How To Create Account, we need to know which type of PayPal account we can create. There are two types of PayPal account: Personal and Business, and they each have certain benefits and ideal uses.
If you want to make transactions with your friends or do some online shopping, you need a personal PayPal account. This is the easiest type of account to set up, and the majority of people use this.
Another type of PayPal account is, particularly for business purposes. You can set up a business account if you want to sell products online and receive payments for a small amount. Up to 200 employees can access this account and offers some other special benefits.
In this article, PayPal How To Create Account, I will show you how to create a personal PayPal account, but the process is very similar for both types of accounts.
PayPal How To Create Account: Step By Step Process
First of all to set up a PayPal account, visit Paypal’s official site and click on the Sign-Up button in the top-right corner. Then you have to choose the type of account you want: Personal or Business. For bloggers, I recommend starting with a personal account and if you ever need a business account, you can instantly upgrade it from PayPal dashboard.
After that, on the next page, you have to fill-up a form that shows to fill an email address, mobile number, and password. You also have to select the country you live in. Then press Continue and fill up the second form by selecting your nationality and then your address, and other information that’s required. Once you hit Continue, your account will be created. But you’re far from done yet.
After entering your personal information, you need to enter your credit or debit card. You can enter this now or later. This will link your PayPal account to a bank account so you can deposit or withdraw money from PayPal. You can do that by clicking the blue Get started button and filling out the form that pops up. This is technically optional, but without it, your PayPal account will be severely limited.
At last, you have to verify your email address, if you haven’t already then do it by clicking the link given to email from PayPal.
Below we’ve listed the full list of steps in brief for your reference:-
- Visit PayPal’s official website and click the Sign-Up button in the top-right corner.
- Select the account type you want — Personal or Business — and click Continue.
- Add in your mobile number, email address, and password, and then click Continue.
- Add in your address and other required info, and then click Continue.
- Optional: Click the blue Get started button, add in your credit card info, and click Add card.
- Verify your email address by clicking the link in the email sent to you by PayPal.
Link Your Bank Account To Your PayPal Account
This process takes time if you initiate now, so I suggest you create your Paypal account right away & in order to make transactions, you’ll need to link it with PayPal. Click the Link a bank option on your Account Summary page to get started. You just need to enter a few fields such as-
- Your Name
- Your Bank account
- Your bank IFSC code
Note:- If you don’t know the IFSC code of your bank branch, simply go to your bank official site and search for it.
This will take 2 or 3 days to confirm. PayPal will send you 2 small deposits in your account. After receiving this, You’ll need to log-in to your account & enter these two values in order to confirm that you are the owner of the bank account. You’ll be able to find these deposits on your online statement after 24-48 hours.
Verify Your Credit Card To Your PayPal Account
- Click the Wallet tab and select the card you want to verify.
- Click the Confirm card link followed by OK, after which PayPal will charge a small amount to your card.
- Check PayPal’s charge on your credit card statement and write down the four-digit code.
- Click the Wallet tab in PayPal again.
- Select the card you want to verify.
- Enter the four-digit code and then click Confirm.
