1. The General Method To Take Screenshot

It generally involves simultaneously pressing two buttons on your Android device while taking a screenshot, normally the Volume Down and Power button combo. On other devices, you might need to use the Home + Power button combo.

When you press the correct button combo, your device’s screen will flash, associated with a camera shutter sound. Sometimes, a pop-up message or notification alert appears, suggesting that the screenshot has been taken & saved to your devices.

2. Taking Screenshot By Using Your Voice

You can take a screenshot by using voice commands on any Android device that comes with Google Assistant. Just say “Okay, Google” and then “take a screenshot”.

Use palm swipe: On some phones, you can take a screenshot by using a palm swipe without even pressing a button. To turn on this feature, first go to Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and gestures and slide the switch next to Palm swipe to capture to the On position. Now you can take a screenshot by just swiping the edge of your hand across your phone’s screen.

Navigate to the screen you want to capture. Press the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously to take the screenshot. When the Smart capture menu appears, tap the Scroll capture icon, it looks like a downward arrow, and it will bounce up and down. Then, tap it a second time to begin the scroll capture process. Keep tapping the icon until it reaches the bottom of the page or your desired spot.

Add tags to your screenshots by tapping the hashtag icon in the Smart capture menu. Suggested tags will appear, but you can create your own as well. Tap Save to save your tag.

When you are done, simply tap outside of the Smart capture menu bar. To view the captured screen, tap the screenshot preview or navigate to Gallery.

Note: The smart capture icon will not appear unless you are on a large web page, app screen, or image that requires scrolling. It may not work on certain websites. On the Note10, you cannot turn Smart capture off. It’s always enabled.

S Pen: You can use the S Pen to take a screenshot, given that your device comes with one. Just pull out the S Pen and launch Air Command (if it’s not done automatically), then select Screen write. Usually, after the screenshot is captured, the image will be immediately opened for editing. Just remember to save the edited screenshot afterward.

  4. LG G8 ThinQ Air Motion: It involves using the built-in ToF (time-of-flight) camera to recognize air gestures. Just wave your hand over the device until you see the icon showing that it has recognized the gesture. Then pinch the air by bringing your fingertips together, and then pulling them apart again.
